I feel like I blinked and suddenly, my fur baby turned 4 years old! Even though it had only been a few days since we made our journey to our new home, I promised Ms. Mira that we would celebrate in style! Of course that meant first and foremost, plenty of walkies. We spent the day wandering around Southside Works and racked up almost 3 miles!
Other than what had already become our normal sites and sounds along the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and across the Hot Metal Bridge, we of course had to find some special birthday treats. Thankfully, just up the road was Hollywood Feed so off we went on an adventure. The store was absolutely great and as soon as I mentioned that someone was turning 4, they ushered me right over to a lovely display with plenty of natural pupcakes, cookies, and some other goodies to match.
With the treats secured, we headed back home but of course had to stop for some photos! My goodest girl enjoyed lounging the grass while Mom ran around trying to make sure I only got her good side. Once we got back, we hung up Mira’s birthday banner and got our paw-ty on. She enjoyed spending the rest of the afternoon lounging on what she has determined is most certainly HER balcony, and devoured the sweet treats in a couple of humongous husky bites.
Happy birthday sweet girl!!! You will forever be my soul dog. Here’s to many more years and adventures to come!
